네트워크 및 하드웨어 과부하를 막기 위해 NVR과 카메라 시스템은 두 가지 스트림을 구분하여 사용합니다.
  • 메인 스트림(Main Stream): 고화질/고해상도 스트림입니다. 단일 카메라 화면을 보거나 녹화 데이터를 저장할 때 사용됩니다.
  • 서브 스트림(Sub Stream): 저화질/저해상도 스트림입니다. 여러 개(4/6/8/16분할 등)의 화면을 한 번에 띄울 때 네트워크 대역폭과 NVR CPU 부하를 줄이기 위해 자동으로 서브 스트림으로 전환됩니다.
해결 및 개선 방법
  1. 서브 스트림 해상도/비트레이트 상향
    • NVR 설정 메뉴에서 비디오/카메라 설정 -> 스트림 설정으로 이동합니다.
    • 카메라별 서브 스트림(Sub Stream) 설정을 찾은 뒤, 해상도(Resolution) 및 비트레이트(Bitrate)를 현재 설정보다 한 단계 높여줍니다. (단, 네트워크 대역폭을 더 소비하므로 로딩이 약간 느려질 수 있습니다.)
  2. 디스플레이/출력 해상도 확인
    • NVR과 연결된 모니터의 출력 해상도가 NVR의 최대 지원 해상도(예: 4K 또는 1080p)로 설정되어 있는지 NVR 시스템 설정에서 확인합니다.
  3. 라이브 뷰 스트림 자동 전환 설정
    • NVR 라이브 뷰(Live View) 설정 메뉴에서 분할 화면 모드일 때 무조건 서브 스트림만 불러오도록 고정되어 있는지, 아니면 자동 전환(Auto) 모드로 설정되어 있는지 확인 후 조정합니다.

먼저 USB 메모리나 외장 하드를 NVR 본체 전면 또는 후면의 USB 포트에 연결해 주세요. (마우스 때문에 포트가 부족하다면 후면 마우스, 전면 USB 메모리 형태로 연결하시면 됩니다.) [3]

방법 1: 가장 추천하는 ‘재생 화면에서 원하는 구간 잘라내기’

영상을 직접 눈으로 확인하면서 마우스 클릭 몇 번으로 원하는 부분만 잘라내는 직관적인 방법입니다.

  1. 화면 빈 곳에 마우스 오른쪽 버튼을 클릭하여 로그인을 한 뒤, 상단 메뉴에서 Playback (재생)을 선택합니다.
  2. 좌측 카메라 목록에서 백업할 카메라 채널을 체크하고, 달력에서 날짜를 더블 클릭합니다.
  3. 하단 파란색(또는 이벤트가 있을 경우 빨간색) 타임라인 바에서 사건 시작 시간으로 커서를 이동합니다.
  4. 우측 하단 툴바에 있는 가위 모양 아이콘 (Clip / Start Clipping)을 한 번 클릭합니다. (타임라인 바에 시작점이 표시됩니다.)
  5. 비디오를 재생하거나 타임라인을 마우스로 끌어 사건 종료 시간으로 이동한 뒤, 가위 모양 아이콘을 다시 한번 클릭합니다 (Clip 완료).
  6. 가위 아이콘 옆의 저장/내보내기 아이콘 (Export 또는 파일 폴더 모양)을 클릭합니다.
  7. 화면에 팝업창이 뜨면 “Video and Log” (비디오 및 로그)를 선택하고, 연결된 USB 드라이브를 선택합니다.
  8. 백업 포맷(File Format)을 MP4로 지정한 뒤 OK (또는 Export)를 누르면 백업이 시작됩니다.

방법 2: ‘검색 메뉴’를 통해 정확한 시간대 파일로 추출하기

정확한 시작 시각과 종료 시각을 이미 알고 있거나, 이벤트(움직임 감지 등) 기록만 모아서 백업하고 싶을 때 유용한 방법입니다.

  1. 마우스 오른쪽 버튼 메뉴에서 Search (검색) 또는 File Management (파일 관리) 메뉴로 진입합니다.
  2. 좌측 메뉴에서 외곽선/사람/차량(AcuSense 기능) 또는 General (일반 검색)을 선택합니다.
  3. 카메라 채널, Start Time(시작 시간), End Time(종료 시간)을 정확히 입력한 후 Search (검색) 버튼을 누릅니다.
  4. 조건에 맞는 녹화 파일 목록이 우측에 리스트 형식으로 나타납니다.
  5. 백업하려는 파일들의 체크박스에 체크를 한 후, 상단이나 하단의 Export (내보내기) 버튼을 클릭합니다.
  6. USB 저장 장치를 지정하고, 포맷을 MP4로 선택한 뒤 완료될 때까지 기다립니다.

⚠️ 백업 전 필수 확인 및 팁

  • 인식 오류 방지: GNR33p6-16D 모델은 대용량 USB 외장 하드를 인식할 때 포맷 형식의 영향을 많이 받습니다. 가급적 FAT32 포맷으로 된 32GB~64GB 이하의 USB 메모리를 사용하시는 것이 가장 안전합니다.
  • PC에서 재생할 때: 내보내기 시 MP4로 지정했다면 일반 컴퓨터의 팟플레이어, VLC 등에서 대부분 바로 재생됩니다. 만약 영상이 끊기거나 정상 재생되지 않는다면 Hikvision의 전용 뷰어인 VSPlayer 프로그램을 PC에 설치하여 재생해 주세요.

UNV IP Camera Reset 방법

NVR에 연결했을 때는 IP를 잘 받아오다가 일반 PoE 스위치에 연결하면 IP가 고정되어 바뀌지 않고, EZTools에서 리셋을 해도 반응이 없는 상황…

 

🚨 원인 분석: 왜 안 바뀔까요?

  1. NVR 내부망(Private IP) 고정 현상

UNV NVR 뒤쪽의 PoE 포트에 카메라를 꽂으면, NVR이 자체적으로 172.16.x.x 대역의 IP를 카메라에 강제로 고정(Static)시켜 버립니다. 이 상태에서 카메라를 빼서 일반 스위치에 꽂으면, 카메라는 여전히 그 172.16.x.x 고정 IP를 물고 있습니다.

  1. EZTools의 ‘네트워크 대역 불일치’로 인한 명령 거부

현재 PC의 IP 대역(예: 192.168.0.x)과 카메라의 IP 대역(172.16.x.x)이 서로 다르기 때문에, EZTools 프로그램에서 카메라가 ‘보이기만’ 할 뿐, Factory Reset이나 DHCP 변경 같은 명령(패킷)을 카메라가 수신하지 못하고 튕겨내는 상태입니다.

🛠️ 해결 방법 (순서대로 진행해 보세요)

방법 1. PC의 IP 주소를 카메라 대역으로 임시 변경하기 (가장 추천)

EZTools가 보낸 리셋 명령이 카메라에 도달하게 만들려면, PC를 카메라와 같은 동네(172.16.x.x)로 보내야 합니다.

  1. PC의 윈도우 제어판 -> [네트워크 및 공유 센터] -> [어댑터 설정 변경]으로 갑니다.
  2. 사용 중인 이더넷(랜선) 카드를 마우스 우클릭하여 [속성]을 누릅니다.
  3. ‘인터넷 프로토콜 버전 4(TCP/IPv4)’를 더블 클릭합니다.
  4. 자동으로 IP 주소 받기 대신 [다음 IP 주소 사용]을 선택하고 아래와 같이 임시로 입력합니다.
    • IP 주소: 172.16.0.250 (카메라들과 겹치지 않는 아무 번호)
    • 서브넷 마스크: 255.255.255.0 (또는 기존 카메라 마스크와 동일하게)
  5. 확인을 눌러 저장한 후, EZTools 3를 껐다가 다시 켭니다.
  6. 이제 PC와 카메라가 대화가 통하는 상태가 되었습니다. EZTools에서 카메라들을 선택하고 [DHCP]로 변경하거나 [Factory Reset]을 누르면 정상적으로 명령이 먹힙니다!
  7. 작업이 끝나면 PC의 IP 설정은 다시 자동으로 IP 주소 받기로 돌려놓으시면 됩니다.

방법 2. 웹 브라우저(Web GUI)로 직접 접속하여 변경

EZTools의 전체 명령이 안 통할 때는 수동으로 한 대씩 풀어주는 방법입니다. (방법 1의 PC IP 변경이 완료된 상태여야 접속이 가능합니다.)

  1. 웹 브라우저(Edge, Chrome 등) 주소창에 해당 카메라 IP(예: 172.16.0.4)를 입력해 접속합니다.
  2. 유니뷰 카메라 로그인 창이 뜨면 로그인합니다.
  3. [Setup (설정)] -> [Network (네트워크)] -> [TCP/IP] 메뉴로 이동합니다.
  4. IP Type을 Static (고정)에서 DHCP로 변경하고 저장(Save)합니다. 이렇게 하면 공유기(PoE 스위치 상단)가 주는 일반 IP를 새로 받아옵니다.

방법 3. 최후의 방법: 하드웨어 물리 리셋

만약 위의 소프트웨어적인 방법이 모두 실패한다면, 지난번 말씀드린 대로 카메라 본체의 물리 버튼을 이용해 공장 초기화를 해야 합니다.

  • IPC2124SR5 (불릿형): 바닥면의 작은 사각 커버 나사를 풀고 안쪽 SD 카드 슬롯 옆의 RST 버튼 이용.
  • IPC3614SR3 (돔형): 투명/화이트 커버를 분리한 뒤 렌즈 주변의 RST 버튼 이용.
  • ⚠️ 필수 타이밍: PoE 스위치에서 랜선을 뺐다가 꽂은 직후(10분 이내)에 버튼을 15초 이상 누르고 계셔야 초기화가 적용됩니다.

Phase 1: Physical Setup & Placement

Before powering anything on, decide where you want to place the camera. You have two primary options:

  • Tabletop Placement: Simply place the camera on a flat, stable surface like a shelf, counter, or nightstand.

  • Ceiling Mounting: Secure the included mounting bracket to your ceiling using the provided screws and anchors, then twist the camera base into the bracket until it clicks into place.

Phase 2: Powering On

  1. Connect the included power cable to the back of the camera.

  2. Plug the other end into the provided supply block and insert it into a standard wall outlet.

  3. Wait a moment for the camera to initialize. The status LED will blink, and the pan-tilt lens will rotate automatically to calibrate.

Phase 3: App & Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Download and install the Lorex Connect App on your smartphone or tablet from the App Store or Google Play Store.

  2. Open the app and sign in (or create a new account if you don’t have one).

  3. Tap the + (Add) icon in the app to add a new device.

  4. Scan the QR code located on the bottom or back of your camera.

  5. Follow the on-screen app prompts to connect the camera to your local Wi-Fi network. (Make sure you are connected to a compatible Wi-Fi band, usually 2.4GHz).

Important Setup Notes & Tips

  • MicroSD Storage: If you plan on recording locally, make sure to insert a compatible surveillance-grade MicroSD card (not included) into the slot before mounting it out of reach.

  • Avoid Windows: Do not point this camera through a window to look outside. The infrared lights will reflect off the glass, ruining your night vision and interfering with motion detection.

  • App Features: Once connected, you can use the app to activate Privacy Mode, use the 2-Way Talk feature, or turn on the smart person and pet tracking.

🔧 Basic Setup via Web Browser

  1. Plug It In
    • Place the extender halfway between your router and the area with weak signal.
    • Plug it into a wall outlet and wait for the Power LED to turn solid green.
    • If it doesn’t power on, press the Power button on the side.
  2. Connect to the Extender
    • On your laptop, phone, or tablet, connect to the Wi-Fi network named: NETGEAR_EXT
    • Once connected, the Client Link LED should light up.
  3. Launch Setup
    • Open a browser and go to:
    • The Netgear Genie setup page will appear.
    • Follow the prompts to:
      • Select your existing Wi-Fi network

HOME AND BUSINESS PROTECTION PROGRAM

The City’s  Home and Business Protection Program (HBPP) provides rebates up to certain limits that cover the costs of outdoor security cameras, one year of cloud storage for video footage, outdoor motion sensor lighting, vehicle GPS trackers, and subscription costs. All Chicago residents as well as business, religious, and non-profit organizations are encouraged to take advantage of the program, purchase equipment, and receive financial reimbursement. The program is first-come, first-serve.

Reimbursement

Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria below may receive reimbursement for:

  • up to $225 per camera (cost of camera and tax only) for a maximum of 2 cameras, or a total $450 reimbursement
    • one year of subscription costs for cloud-based video storage systems for a maximum of $150 per annual subscription
  • up to $100 per light (cost of light and tax only) for a maximum of 2 lights, or a total $200 reimbursement
  • up to $50 per vehicle GPS tracking device (cost device and tax only) for a maximum of 2 devices, or a total $100 reimbursement
    • one year of subscription costs for GPS tracking applications as required for use by the vehicle GPS tracking device manufacturer up to $120.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for any qualifying rebates, the following requirements must be met:

  1. The applicant must be an owner or tenant of a property used as a primary residence, business, religious institution, or nonprofit organizations within the City of Chicago OR own or lease a vehicle registered to a primary address within the City of Chicago.
  2. The applicant must provide documentation that verifies proof of purchase.
  3. The applicant must provide photo documentation that verifies installation.
